I had a birthday on the 7th

I had a birthday on the 7^th. I was 7 on the 7^th. How cool is that! And this time it snuck up really fast, like I didn’t even remember until I heard Mum and Dad singing Happy Birthday when it was time to wake up.

And even better, my birthday was on a Sunday which is Mum’s day off so we all got to spend the whole day together. That was just the best thing.

And normally Mum makes me presents which I always really love, but she said for this birthday I was allowed to go to the pet shop and get whatever I wanted.

A shop bought present.

I’ve never had a shop bought present before. So off we went to the pet shop and I walked around, looking at all the things. People must’ve known it was my birthday ‘cause loads of peeps where coming up and patting me, and I was telling them to pat Hugo as well so he wouldn’t get sad.

And then, just like that – I saw what I wanted for my birthday. It was a pink rain coat with white fluff on the inside. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. Mum got it down off the rack for me and put it on right there in the shop, she wanted to make sure that it fitted real good. I felt so fancy, that pink coat made me feel like I was as tall as Hugo. And loads of peeps were saying how cute I looked in it.

I didn’t want to take it off, but Mum said that as soon as it was paid for she would put it back on. And I kept my new coat on all day and then I wanted to sleep in it too. Mum said it’s best to save it for the daytime, so it will last longer. So I took it off and left it next to my bed so I could look at it during the night.

I must be the luckiest girl alive to have my very own pink rain coat. 

I’ve attached a photo so you can see me wearing it, if you look hard you can see the rain drops on it. I was wearing it when it started raining. And I even wear it when I’m drinking out of my favourite Torus Water bowl. That Torus water bowl is the best bowl in the world.

I was going to tell you about what that minxy Ramona has been up to, but that can wait till next time. ‘Cause I’ve got to go and have snuggles with Mum. Snuggles with Mum is my favourite thing.
